Who are you?

I am Karah Fredricks, and I’m a scrap-a-holic!  Well, not really.  I just love scrapbooking and am so glad to have found a hobby that I enjoy so much!  I am very happily married to my high school sweetheart and we have four wild and crazy kids who are my world!  If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have anything to scrap about!

Your website is blueflombingo.com.  What’s a flombingo?

Well, I must give credit to my son for that one. When he was two, he had a book of animals and one day while flipping through it, he got SO excited and yelled “Look! It’s a FLOMBINGO!”  I was so sad when he was old enough to pronounce it correctly.   And while I no longer use the original “blue flombingo” character in my logo, the name is still near and dear to my heart!

How long have you been scrapbooking?

I was a paper-scrapper for about 14 years. I started my first paper scrapbook in high school and I haven’t stopped scrapping since! I’ve been digital scrapbooking for about seven years, and I’ve been involved with graphic design for eleven years.

How long have you been a digital scrapbook designer?

I created my first kit seven years ago, just after I started digital scrapbooking.   I began officially selling just a few months after that!  I’ve sold at several wonderful stores, but I am currently selling at the store of my dreams, The Lily Pad! I have been selling there for 3 1/2 years and LOVE it!

What inspires you?

Well, mainly my kids. 99% of all of my photos are of my four kids so I tend to create kits and products with them in mind! I’ll often create color palettes from their clothes or toys.  I also find inspiration from my many talented digital scrapbooking friends who give me their ideas and requests!
